The beautiful Venice

Venice is an unique architectural treasure in the world that, to the contrary one than looks, presents all the normal functions to any city, there we find cars, taxi, bus and trucks of trash and of firemen, only that everything this fluctuating in its incredible channels.

Walk in Venice is not recommended for claustrophobic, or persons that do not like tight, because his narrow alleys are traversed by thousands of persons in a tiring pushing and shoving, but what is revealed in each corner and in each plaza is a dazzle, healthy marvelous palaces as the Ca D'Oro, parks well cares like the Papadopoli and pretty churches, as the Holy Mary of the Friars, with more than six hundred years. Another church that is worth hardly visit is to nice Basilica of Holy Mary of the Health, barely in front of the Saint Mark Plaza, in the big channel.

The Plaza of Saint Mark is the heart of Venice, there concentrate the main appeals of the city as the Cathedral of Saint Mark, with more of thousand and hundred years, endowed of a belfry of barely hundred meters of height of where has an incredible sight of Venice, and the Ducal Palace, that was the headquarters of the government of the Serenissima Republic. To the around of the Saint Mark Plaza are the main commercial streets of Venice and his coffees and more known restaurants.

The famous bridge of the sighs, that unites the Ducal Palace to the Prison of Venice, is a covered bridge with small windows with grilles and received this name because the condemned were led of the Ducal Palace for the Prison and upon will look Venice by the windows of the bridge gave a sigh, saying good-bye to the beautiful city. Unfortunately it has nothing of romantic as his name suggests and many imagine.

In my opinion the better form of know Venice is walking, traveling through its interesting alleys and pretty bridges. For the beginners a good map will be essential for will not waste time neither important appeals as the marvelous Palace Ca' Pesaro, that today lodges the Museum of Modern Art of Venice. But the walk of gondola is unmissable, can be costly and slow but go Venice and do not do a gondola tour is simply unforgivable.

The vaporeto is the bus of Venice and is important when we are going to travel through big distances as go from the Saint Mark Plaza to the Piazalle Rome, where stayed the bus terminal, in another side of the city. In the quay of Venice, near to the Saint Mark Plaza can be taken boats that drive to the islands as Murano and Burano, to the Lido, that is the neighborhood without channels, where stayed the beach of Venice and the near cities like Chioggia Sottomarina. Big boats do a tour around all the Gulf of Venice, is costly but very pretty.

I recommend to the visitors of Venice that reserve an afternoon for will know one of the famous crystal factories of the Murano Island, is a marvelous tour but will be necessary resist to the temptation of buy some copy of the very beautiful crystals that there are manufactured, because healthy costly and maybe will break in the journey back. Look in the entrance of your hotel for tourist programs that include a visit to the factories of Murano, that will be cheaper.

If you likes to photograph does not leave of go up in the belfry of the Basilica of Saint Mark, only there you will have a full vision of the beautiful archipelago that forms the unusual and marvelous city of Venice. The Visit costs seven euros and the access to the top of the Belfry is deed through two elevators, always filled. Expect sickly by the opportunity of approach of each window and afterwards, without hurry, takes as much pictures as you want, of all of the possible angles.
